Sila Goral is a Turkish filmmaker currently majoring in film production and minoring in creative writing at the University of British Columbia. She admires the capabilities of storytelling such as its inevitable influence on social structure and effects on the human thought process. Despite being particularly interested in psychological dramas, Sila decided to challenge herself by creating Especially Joy, a romantic comedy she feels deeply connected to.

Feyannie Hung

Originally from Taiwan, Feyannie Hung is a filmmaker inspired by the power and great influence that film can bring to society and human beings. Feyannie is currently studying Film Production at the University of British Columbia, her strengths are organization, social networking and producing which have all been demonstrated in different areas. She aspires to work with diversity and write and make films related to historical, cultural, societal, and environmental issues.

Will Dickson is a Hamilton Ontario native who came to Vancouver in 2016 to pursue his passion of filmmaking at the University of British Columbia. Will has worked as a freelance videographer for several years and has gained tons of experience across a wide variety of fields. One day Will would like to own his own production company and tackle the commercial industry, but until then he will use his cinematography skills to shoot the upcoming short film Especially Joy.
